Ministries - Serving

Why Serve?

Westlife Church couldn’t function without the support of committed and passionate volunteers who serve both the church and community. We believe that being part of the Westlife family means helping out around the House, and it’s also a great way to meet other people and to show the love of God to our guests. Westlife has many areas of ministry that are made up of multiple volunteer teams who serve on Sundays and during the week.

Where Can I Serve?

It’s easy. Check out the areas detailed below and identify which one best suits your talents. Under some of them you will see a link which will connect you to another page on our website to provide you more information.

Once you have decided which area you would like to try out simply email info@westlife.org.au or ring the church office on 07 3381 9988. One of our friendly team will pass your details on to the relevant department and then you’re underway.

If you don’t have a current ‘Positive Notice Blue Card’, you may be asked to fill out an application. If you would love to get involved but don’t know which team you want to serve in, you can find out more about volunteer opportunities by contacting the church office.

Serving Opportunities

Connect Team

Our Connect teams believe that first impressions make a huge impact. These teams are made up of individuals who love creating welcoming environments for every guest at Westlife. From setting up the foyer area, welcoming our guests at the door, finding people the best seat in the house or making a new family feel welcome on their first visit; our Connect team is here to give our guests a five star experience.

Hospitality Team

The Hospitality Team also believe that first impressions count and they work with the Connect team to ensure all who attend Westlife enter into a welcoming atmosphere where beverages and treats are made available. They love the House of God and love to see it sparkle when our guests arrive.

Worship & Creative Arts

The Westlife Worship team strive to create an atmosphere of worship where people can personally experience the presence of Jesus Christ. They are passionate about seeing people encounter God and to assist them in drawing closer to Him.

If you can sing or play a musical instrument (except the Tambourine) and want to use your gift to usher people into the presence of our God, this might be the team for you. Auditions for this team are required. View our Worship & Creative Arts page.

Mainly Music

The aim of Mainly Music is to provide an environment where young children from the community develop skills to enhance their early education, through the use of music, rhythm, rhyme and other music related activities with the participation of a parent or primary caregiver.

Bringing adult and child together for a time of safe interaction, and in doing so, teaching adults rhymes and songs that can be used at home to help with cleaning up, colours, counting, and more. It is also a great opportunity for parents to network with other parents of young children.
